Charity Run & Walk - DAN DAN RUN 2016

Group_bokashi_edit.jpg
Once again we will host the Charity Run and Walk DAN DAN Run. The purpose of this event is to support refugees. Last year we had 300 participants. This will be our third year to host the event. In addition to a run around the Imperial Palace, we plan to host a fun event at the Hibiya Park. We look forward to your participation.
*We will continue to update details.

Refugees from Syria and in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia escape from human rights violations and conflicts. These refugees must overcome several obstacles after leaving their job, family, and "daily lives" in their home country. The profits from this event will support these refugees.

dan_2015_05_edit.jpgMany refugees seek refuge in Japan from the Middle East such as Syria, as well as Africa and Asia, to escape violations of human rights. For these refugees to regain their lost "ordinary lives" including a job, house, family, and daily peace, they would have to overcome countless obstacles. Proceeds will go to refugees to help them build their lives in Japan.

What Is DAN DAN RUN?

20150517_Shinnosuke_019.jpgThe Japan Association for Refugees (JAR) and its volunteer committee cohost this event in which profits go to refugees. When we planned this event in February of 2014, we came up with the name, "Warm Warm Run (DAN DAN Run)" in hopes of delivering a warm winter to refugees.
Please click here for details.

Profit Use

Event profits will be used for JAR's causes. They will be used for expenses for shelter, food, medical use for refugees without insurance, and traveling expenses for refugees to visit the JAR office.
